MEDAON seeks to connect research by institutional and non-institutional scholars, and also that of nonprofessional local researchers and students.
The selection of different peer-reviewed articles and features is not limited by any discipline, subject, geographical or temporal focus. Local studies and case studies find their place just like comparative analysis in transnational perspective and reports stating problems of the current research. Additionally, historical relics and aids for researching Jewish life are offered and contextualized. Plus, historical and current forms of exchange on Jewish life are presented and reflected upon.
As an online-journal MEDAON offers open access to all published features. Since 2007, MEDAON has been published semi-annually every April and October. The journal is edited by HATiKVA e.V. (Dresden, Germany).
The next edition will be published in April 2015.
